Perhaps one day indeed!

Hikari responds:

plz lets finish this soon

This has got a nice lounginess to it. Loops pretty well. I'd maybe bring the percussion out a little more, but I'm digging that sax.

VulpesHilarianus responds:

Oh, the sax, man. I love the saxophone. The one that I used is Embertone's Sensual Sax. It does auto-expression using an algorithm that blends the samples so that you don't need to adjust legato times and everything manually. Check it out if you get the chance.

I really dig the atmosphere this makes; the slightly off-kilter sound does a great job of implying that something isn't quite right. The samples are interesting and loaded with texture. Some pretty rich sound you got going.

Error104 responds:

Thanks for the compliment. I'm glad you liked it :)

Pretty sweet melody you got going on there, it's wicked catchy. Digging that portamento.

You should toss up something from milky, wouldn't mind hearing your tracker skills.

Esoterik responds:

ty, i haven't worked in milky in soo long.. i think i have a couple songs still from when i did ill try to find them.

This is really excellent! Did you use a tracker? If so you've got some mighty impressive decay effects going on. I also really dig your lead instrument; it's got just the right retro touch to it. The rest of your instruments are good too. I can't think of anything I would have done differently or what I would have improved upon, I wish I could make tunes like this. Awesome job!

Mrkapow responds:

Thank you! =) Funny enough, I didn't. This was all through Reason 5. I tried to make famitracker on my mac but it just wouldn't work for me =( Thank you so much for your comment and of course you could make a tune like this! Anyone can if you put the hard effort towards it! This was a big project and it took a very long to finalise and fit together. So if you put the time in, I bet you could do it too =) Thanks again!

This was exactly what it needed to be. It wasn't perfect, but it damn well did what it had to. I like it.

BrokenDeck responds:

Thanks. It WAS missing a melody after all ^_^

Holy shit. This is fucking neat.

I'd have to get really nitpicky with this if I wanted to give you criticism. Overall, it's just really really good. Very listenable. This track is one of two I've downloaded in the past two years.

Rapid55 responds:

Wow, thanks man! :D Even smallest bits of criticism are welcomed. :] Appreciate the review!

Saw this in the audio advertisements thread.

This is some easy listening, nice job! After trawling through chip sounds all day your piano feels really nice on the ear. Decent playing, not a bad melody, as far as piano pieces go I can't say I have much to complain about. I'm no expert, but take it from a layperson; the song is pretty good.

InfiniteHarmonyMusic responds:

Thank you very much! :)

Digging the melody, nice work on that, but the arpeggiated notes get pretty overbearing and hard to listen to, not to mention repetitive.

Barring that though this is pretty spiffy, I like the mood, and as I said the melody is pretty sharp. With some more variation and some kind of fix for that arp this could be something great.

Putewar responds:

Hmm, thanks for the review! I will look into it, but I won't probably get anything good out of it. Do you have any suggestions how to add variations into the song? I've heard a lot of songs where the same loop go over and over many times, but still gets variation to it. That is one of my main problems when I try to make some songs :P

Aww yeah chiptune, aww yeah MilkyTracker.

I like the peripheral sounds, the blips and stuff on the sides. They could use a little more variation, in my opinion, though.

One major criticism I have is the loudness of the main lead. It overpowers everything else and sort of drowns the rest of the track. Try turning that down a little.

The bassy sound seems a little bit off to me as well. It's possible that I'm just not hearing it right because it's hidden behind the lead, but I have to ask if its sample length is a multiple of the lengths of the rest of your sounds.

Again, regarding the lead, it's not so catchy. I'm no expert on creating catchy melodies myself, so I can't offer you much useful advice in that field.

As a final (pseudo)criticism, the track reads more like a song than a loop because of the silence at the end.

On a positive note, the track sounds upbeat and sunny, as I would expect from the title, so I give you props for achieving a specific feel like that, which isn't always easy to do.

Overall, pretty good. With a tiny bit of polishing I can picture this being an excellent tune.

Wurfel-Waffles responds:

thanks. I should have work more on mastering. These are useful advices. I'm going return to re-mixing the volumes again. Main lead was poorly made with no preparation.

Thank you so much for the comments and advices.

Hi I draw things, and sometimes I draw lots of things that look like they're moving when you look at them one after another really fast. Also music!
